Rotten Angel is a tense, atmospheric survival horror game developed by a single indie developer. You are trapped in a world where the boundary between the afterlife and reality is tearing apart.

But whatever is lurking in the dark isn't your only problem... To survive, you'll need to keep your rising panic in check, navigate a deeply hostile world, and somehow outsmart a surnatural super predator.


  • UPDATE 1.2 : The Kickstarter ended

I want to start with the simple truth: our first Kickstarter campaign was very far from reaching its goal. The funding we were hoping for didn't come through, and as a result, the development timeline for the game is going to be significantly longer than we'd planned.

I thought about how to phrase this, and in the end I decided the only right way was plainly. You deserve honesty more than you deserve a spin.

To everyone who backed us, shared the campaign, or even just followed along quietly, thank you. I mean that more than a single line can carry. A first attempt not working out stings, but the support around it was real, and it's the reason I'm writing this as an update rather than a goodbye. Every pledge, every message, every person who told a friend about the game mattered, and none of that effort was wasted just because a funding bar didn't fill up in time.

Here's what the setback actually means, in honest terms. Kickstarter would have let me move faster, dedicate more hours to development, get help in the areas that need it, and bring the game to you sooner. Without that, I'm building this the way it began: carefully, in the time I can give it, funded on my own. That's slower, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. Milestones I hoped to hit this year will land later. The roadmap stretches out. I'd rather tell you that clearly today than promise dates I can't keep and let you down twice.

But I also want to be just as clear about what hasn't changed. The game is still being made. The core of it is real and working, the systems I care most about are already in place and coming together better than I'd hoped. A longer timeline isn't a death sentence; if anything, it's more room to get the details right instead of rushing them out to meet a deadline. The vision that made me start this hasn't moved an inch.

So this isn't an ending. It's a recalibration. Development continues, the updates here will keep coming, and I'll keep being honest with you at every step, the good news and the hard news alike. I'm already thinking about what a smarter approach to funding looks like down the road, and when there's something concrete to share, you'll hear it here first.

Keep in mind I try to be as transparent as possible while still staying spoiler free about the game.

Current Objectives

  • Short term, Optimization is going to be important, especially to be able to deliver dev builds that are easily accessible for every one of my kickstarter backers that have access to playtests.

  • fixing some behaviour of the Angel, especially in the early phases of the hunt

  • Adding a way to smoothly end the night, not too soon, and not too late

  • A memory leak to be fixed

  • Long Term, Adding new behaviours to the monster, especially when the player is hidden inside a safe place, you can never really be safe, can you?
